| AOI delegation calls on CAPD Minister | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, July 6: A delegation of Association of Industries (AOI) Samba led by Lalit Mahajan Chairman Federation of Industries Jammu and Vijay Aggarwal, President of Association today met Minister for Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Zulfkar Ali Chowdhary at Samba. During the course of discussions Mahajan and Vijay Aggarwal appreciated the sincere efforts of the Minister for the implementation of Schemes under the National Food Security Act which will provide relief to the common people of the state.
The issue regarding the Renewal of Licenses of the Industrial Units for the storage of Pesticides and Solvents was also brought in to the notice of the Hon'ble Minister.
Mahajan also requested the Minister to extend the period of renewal from one year at present to three years under the ease of doing business concept adopted by our Government. The Minister issued on spot instructions to the concerned Officials to extend the date for the renewal of Licenses till the finalization of new guidelines and also assured the delegation to consider the demand for the extension of time for the renewal of Licenses from one year at present to two years.
The meeting was also attended by Sheetal Nanda Deputy Commissioner, Samba, Shafiq Raina Commissioner Secretary CAPD, G S Chib, Director CAPD Jammu, Amar Singh Joint controller Legal Metrology, Ajay Langer General Secretary BBIA, Ritesh Mahajan General Secretary AOI IGC Samba. |
