Anti-Terrorist Front activist receives threatening call from Pak | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 29: The president of J&K unit of All India Anti-Terrorist Front (AIATF) claims to have received a threatening call from Pakistan. "I received a call at about 3.45 pm from telephone number +20347221. The caller introduced himself as Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militant and threatened me to leave the front. He also offered me to join the militant outfit," J&K's AIATF president Bharat Bhandari said in a written complaint addressed to the SHO of Channi Himmat police station, seeking registration of a case against the unknown callers. He said the caller threatened him of dire consequences in case he did not resign from the front. According to Bhandari, the caller said: "Saala Agar Tune yeh Front nahi choda aur agar Pakistan ke khilaf nara mara toh tere ghar ke sath tujhe bhi uda denge (If you don't leave the front and dared to raise any slogan against Pakistan, we will explode your house." He said apart from sponsoring terrorism and funding separatists to destabilise peace in India, Pakistan had now begun to threaten people here telephonically. He said he had received at least nine calls from the number. "Since the caller was frequently calling me, I brought the matter to the notice of PCR. Police are said to have recorded the calls," he said and added that location from where the caller was calling had also been established by police. "I received several calls including some missed calls from telephone No +20347221. I received the calls between 3.45 pm to 3.56 pm," he said. Bhandari said he had also brought the matter to the notice of SSP, Jammu, SSP CID and SSP, Crime Branch. He said despite these threatening calls, he would continue his campaign against terrorism. |
