Workshop on Development of Scientific temperament organized

JAMMU, Sept 29: One day workshop on the theme of development of scientific temperament was organized in Bhartiya Vidya Mandir High School Udhampur by Ministry of Culture GOI and Vidya Bharti Sanskriti Shiksha Sansthan, Sanskriti Bhawan Kurukshetra.
In this programme, J.M.Tharmatt District Education Planning Officer Udhampur and Arun Gupta President BSS J&K were the Chief Guests and it was presided over by Renu Sharma Principal BVM High School Udhampaur.
Other guests:- Rakesh sharma ji (Distt. Resources person) Gurmeet Singh ji (Lect. Govt Boys Hr. sec School Udhampur) Presided over by:- Renu Sharma (Pr. BVM H/S Udhampur)
The program was started with flag hoisting and lighting of lamp by chief guest and other guests. In this workshop 400 students from different schools i.e BVM H/S Udh., BVM Thathi, BVM Krimchi, Govt. Boys Hr. sec Udhampur, Govt Girls Hr. Sec Udhampur DAV High School participated in this workshop. These students were divided into three categories i.e 4th and 5th (1st category) 6th and 7th (2nd category) and 8th to 10th (3rd category). Students attended the lectures by expert teachers. Students participated in various activities like paper reading, essay writing, model display etc. from class nursery to 10th. The various topics were taken in this workshop like use of science in everyday life, stories of various Indian scientist, Indian development in space, conservation of environment and its resources etc .
On this occasion the J.M Tharmatt said that the students should learn everything with the scientific temperament by which they can increase their wisdom. Various topics related to our daily life and its problems cannot be taught in the schools but we need to have wisdom for solving them what can be gained by our thinking only. In the end at the closing ceremony of this workshop the students were given prizes who stood on 1st three positions in each categories. The students were awarded prize by Guest of Honour, Ved Parkash Sharma who encouraged the students and congratulated them to have the opportunity to attend such a good workshop. In the end, Renu Sharma Principal of the school thanked all the guest, teachers from other schools, students and parents.
