Accession day celebrated across Jammu | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 26: People from all walks of life held 64th Accession day celebration today throughout the State. Asking the people including intellectuals, traders, youth, students and all other social organizations to celebrate the Accession Day like national festivals, KPC Chief Kundan Kashmiri said today on that Accession Day falls on 27th October is the most significant day in history of Jammu and Kashmir. Addressing his party activists and supporters Kundan Kashmiri squarely held the successive State Governments responsible for putting the significance of Accession Day in oblivion. He said that KPC had been celebrating 'Accession Day' every from the last one decade throughout country and would celeberate this year too with full national spirit, great enthusiasm and love at Delhi and at other places to mark the historic and prudent decision of Maharaja Hari Singh to accede the State with the rest of the country of Indian nation. Urging the people to celebrate the revered day as like national festivals, Kundan Kashmiri vociferously asserted that J&K was, is and shall remain an integral part of India. He also exhorted the people to maintain national unity and pride as well as defeat nefarious designs of Pakistan and her agents, anti-national and subversive elements of J&K state . Akhil Bhartiya Vishaw Prishad today celebrated 68th accession day by taking out bike rally as Vilay Diwas sandesh yatra . Govind Sharma ABVP Jammu Mahanagar President and Jammu Mahanagar Vice President Bhaskar Jamwal flagged off the rally . The rally started from ABVP State office Ambphalla via Kachhi Chawni , Dogra Chowk , Bikram Chowk , Zorawar Singh Chowk , Gole Market and culminated at Maharaja Hari Singh samarak . While addressing the rally ABVP state secretary Varsha Jandial asserted that the accession of J&K is final and complete. She extended her greetings to the residents of J&k on the ocasssion of J&K accession day. To celebrate the Accession Day of Jammu and Kashmir with Indian Republic a colourful function was organized by Bharatiya Vidya Mandir (BVM) High School, here today. Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Ramban was the chief guest on the occasion whereas Deputy Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Ramban Kameshwar Puri was guest of honour while principal Government Higher Secondary School Ramban Ashok Kumar was special guest and founder of the school Mohal Lal Sharma, general secretary Dr Uttam Sharma, president Subash Kapoor and Retd army officer Jagir Singh Raju also present on the occasion. To commemorate the Accession of Jammu and Kashmir State with the Dominion of India, Vichar Manch Ramnagar in liasion with BJP unit of Ramnagar today organized debate on the topic ' "Accession of J & K with India is Full and Final" here at Natha Singh Park, Ramnagar in which besides workers from BJP, intellectuals, prominent citizens, Educationists, Professionals from various walks of life and Students of various private and government schools participated. The speakers presented diverse rainbow of thoughts and opinions but they were unanimous on one point that Accession of Jammu Kashmir to the Dominion of India is 'Full and Final' and is in line with the aspirations, wishes and sentiments of People of Jammu and Kashmir. Bhagya Laxmi Charitable Trust (BLCT) celebrated accession day here at Kachi Chawani. It happened on 26th October 1947, when Maharaja Hari Singh, then ruler of Jammu & Kashmir signed a legal document of Instrument of Accession in India and on 27th October 1947 it was sent and accepted by then Governer General of India "Lord Mountbaten". Holding the audience of Udhampur spell bound, JKNPP's gigantic "Vilay Divas (Accession Day) Rally" rocked District Udhampur on the ninth day. Thousands of party activists riding on motor bikes with 'Tricolours' and Party flags in their hands being spearheaded by . Harsh Dev Singh Chairman JKNPP, and Dhani Ram Attri State Secy along with other leaders assembled at Mini Stadium Town hall Udhampur and took out a colossal rally. The rally after passing through several markets and lanes finally culminated at Dabbar Chowk where the leaders hoisted the National flag and observed National anthem echoing in the air. |
