Locals anticipate lackluster of Deewali courtesy heavy firing from Pak | | | Early Times Report Rajouri, Oct 26: locals in border areas of Rajouri district apprehend firing from across the Line of Control (LoC) to play spoil sport during Deewali festivity as there are reports in air that Pak has deployed 'special forces' to counter Indian retaliation. If recalled here that for the last many days Pakistan troops has been violating ceasefire in Rajouri and Poonch districts sometimes with automatics including mortar shelling on the forward Indian posts and the civilian's areas. "Sehar, Makri, Kalsian, Kalal, Bab Khori, Khamba, Sarya, Jhangar, Lam etc in Nowshera and Sunderbani sectors and Tarkundi ( in Mendhar) , Rajdhani, Naika, Panjgrain, Khorinar in Rajouri sector are the worst affected during cross border firing, sources said. Reliable sources said that after heavy loss to lives (soldiers of Pakistan army) army's forward posts/infrastructure and damage to civilian property in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK), Pakistan has deployed several companies of its Special Forces to target the Indian soldiers. "The firing and shelling is anticipated to increase in next few days after the deployment of Special Forces by the Pakistan army opposite to Rajouri and Poonch districts" reliable sources added. Pertinently Pakistan army had resorted to heavy firing and mortar shelling for the whole day on Tuesday which was retaliated effectively by Indian side resulting heavy loss to property and reportedly death of 2-3 soldiers of Pakistan army in the retaliatory firing. Meanwhile official sources said that during cross border firing some mortar shell fired by the Pakistan had landed in village Makri in Nowshera sector in which two cows and a Buffalo owned by one Tilak Raj, ,Bansi Lal and Sukhdev Singh were killed respectively while window glasses of the houses belong to Kamaljeet Singh and Sanjay Kumar had suffered damage due to mortar shelling. There are reports that Pakistan army today afternoon resorted to mortar shelling and firing in Tarkundi sector which continued till 5.15 pm. sources said there is no loss to life or property was reported from the area in today's firing. |
