Jammu, Oct 26: DPS, Jammu organized an interactive session on the dreaded disease cancer and a prize distribution ceremony for winners of the Inter School Essay Writing Competition on "Prevention of Cancer by Adopting Healthy Life Style" here today.
According to press release, Dr. Deepak Abrol (Cancer Specialist), Radiatition Oncologist, Consultant GMC Jammu, was Chief Guest on the occasion. He was accompanied by Dr. Manish Talwar, Dental Surgeon, J&K Health Servies, Prof. K.B Abrol, Chairman LBNROH, former Principal, MAM College and Dr. Isha Kohli, Dental Surgeon, Programme Coordinator, LBNROH.
The students who received prizes and certificates were Dhruv Pandoh-IX-B (first), Rohit Razdan- VIII-K (Second) and Arshiya- VII-A (Third).
Dr. Abrol and Dr.Manish Talwar held enriching interactive sessions with the students and staff and touched upon several aspects of the diseases, its early symptoms, its likely causes and plausible preventions.
Students asked number of queries to the team of the doctors and received satisfactory replies. Dr Deepak Abrol appreciated the efforts and initiative of staff and students of DPS and remarked that out of all schools of North Zone, DPS Jammu stood out interms of its highest and best quality participation in the essay writing competition.
President RCT, M.K Ajatshatru Singh and PVC Kunwrani Ritu Singh and Director SS Sodhi also conveyed their best wishes to all the winners and participants of the interactive session. |
