Jammu, Nov 1: Jammu and Kashmir Freedom Fighter Association (JKFFA) today celebrated 141th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel here at Dogra Shaurya Smarak. Floral tributes were paid to the great leader and the re-shaper of the Modern India and candles were also lit in his honour. A two minutes silence was also observed.
Speaking on the occasion, the members praised Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's far sightedness and authoritarian power, that he met all the heads of the princely and got all the state merged as on great, sovereign Indian State.
They said that he was called the iron man of India. They added that Indian historians had forgotten the great souls, who contributed to the freedom of the country and their sacrifices, under the shadow of the Nehru ion carpet, but the new dispensation under the dynamic leadership of Narendra Modi have blown the carpet and brought all the forgotten personalities to the lime light for the young generation of India, to know, they said. The members slammed the separatists of Kashmir Valley for their destructive over tones and asked them to learn from Sardar Patel to adopt the policy of joining with the main stream and not to ruin the future of the youth of the Valley.
