Hiranagar, Nov 1: In an effort to create greater awareness and participation of the public at large, Reserve Bank of India, Jammu office conducted a Gram Sabha Awareness Programme at Village Surara in Hiranagar today. The participants were made aware of the evils of corruption and the need to build an integrity system to fight against corruption in the society. More than 150 participants were present on the occasion. S C Sharma, GM addressed the gathering and emphasized on the need for eradication of corruption in the society. He motivated the people to combat corruption in all forms and stressed that the fight against corruption cannot be won without public support. Ravinder Kumar, AGM urged the participants to not only fight the menace of corruption and refrain from indulging in unethical acts but also to share the responsibility as citizens to create awareness against this social evil. The programme was also attended by other officials of RBI, banks etc. |
