JKGBDYB to hold protest on Nov 7 | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 1: Jammu and Kashmir Gujjar Bakerwal Desh Youth Body (JKGBDYB) to hold protest infront of Civil Secretariat on November 7 for resdressal problems are being faced by the community. According to press release, the State President of the body Choudhary Nazakat Khatana said that the Gujjar Bakerwal people of Jammu division were continuously being targeted and harassed by way of vacating their ancestral homes by means of force on communal basis. He also appealed all parties to join hands with all Gujjar bakerwal Communities to fight against communal forces for harassing people belong to community of Pir Panjal, Chenab Khatar, Samba-Kathua, Reasi-Udhampur of Jammu Division. He also said that the higher authorities are violating the Constitutions rights and misleading the poor and backward communities making their life more miserable. "On the other side, Lal Singh following RSS agenda to demolish the houses (Kacha-Kullas, Pacca Kullas and half concreted houses) of muslim Gujjar Bakerwal community, " leaders said and adding BJP union Minister Rajnath Singh before election had also promised to give ownership rights to Gujjar bakerwals and Refugees. Refugees were given their rights but the Gujjar Bakerwals are still waiting for the promise to be fulfilled. They appealed to the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to intervene into the matter and stop this harassment in the form of demolition and also give ownership rights to these Gujjar bakerwal people who are all at the mercy of Almighty. Other persons who also supported the protest were Choudhary Anwar Phanda, Choudhary Sajad Ah. Khatana, Choudhary Basharat Ahmed, Choudhary, Fareed and others. |
