Two snatchers held with snatched gold chain 11/1/2016 11:20:49 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 1: In continuation to operation 'Meghdoot', the drive against burglars and chain snatchers launched by SSP Jammu Sunil Gupta, Gandhi Nagar Police today arrested two chain snatchers and recovered stanched gold chain along with motorcycle used run away from the crime scene. Police spokesman said that snatchers have been identified as Satnam Singh S/o Kartar Singh R/o Gurdaspur, Punjab presently Digiana and Shubam Choudhary son of Balvinder Choudhary of Badyal Brahmana presently staying at Digiana Jammu." "The duo has been arrested and snatched gold chain was recovered from their possession in a case under FIR No. 246/2016 under section 382 of RPC of Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, police said. The arrest was made after Anjali Koul of Gandhi Nagar lodged a complaint stating therein that the snatchers were on a motorcycle and she only recognized it's registration number as PB……/3471 and accordingly special naka was established and today during naka checking Police Party intercepted one motorcycle bearing Regd. No. PB06G/ 3471 and driver of the motorcycle namely Satnam Singh during sustained questioning confessed his involvement in the case. "On his disclosure his other associate namely Shubam Choudhary has been arrested and snatched gold chain worth Rs 30,000 was also recovered, police added.
