Minor killed, 41 injured as marriage party vehicle rolls down 11/1/2016 11:20:57 PM Early Times Report Rajouri Nov 1: Forty one Baratis (members of marriage party) were injured critically while nine years old died on the spot when an overloaded mini bus skidded off the road due to overloading and fell into deep gorge in remote Kalokote of Rajouri district. Police sources said, "About 45 Baratis were travelling in and on the roof of a Canter passenger vehicle on its way from Kabukot to Kalka Colony under the jurisdiction of Police Station Dharamshal. "The driver lost the control over vehicle while negotiating a sharp curve on a dilapidated road near Army Check post at Sajjali Gali and the vehicle fell in the gorge. The marriage party of Kalu s/o Bansi Lal resident of Kabukot was on way to bride's house when the mishap took place at about 7.30 pm today, police sources said. "Soon after the accident the troopers deployed in the area rushed to accident spot and with the help of civilians started rescue operation and shifted injured to a Health Centre at Triyath, sources said "Forty one Baratis were injured and after initial treatment at Health Centre at Triyath all were sent to Sub District Hospital (SDH) Sunderbani while nine years girl had died on the spot," said inspector Darshan Singh, SHO Police Station Dharamshal. SHO Dharmshal also said that deceased minor has been identified as Surbhi d/o Darshan lal resident of Kabukot. On getting information of the mishap Atul Sharma , ASP (officiating SSP) rushed Triyath police post in-charge to the spot and he along with other policemen also joined the rescue operation. "Out of 41 referred to SDH Sunderbani only thirteen injured have reached till 9.45 pm out of which Mata Devi and her infant son (2yrs) with head injuries have been referred to Govt Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) Jammu for specialized treatment" said Dr Govind, BMO, Sunderbani.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
