Former ministers Bhalla, Manjit visits GMC&H to enquire well beings of Pak firing victims | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 1: Former Ministers and senior Congress leaders Raman Bhalla and Manjit Singh today visited Government Medical College, Jammu to enquire about the well being of those sustained injuries due to unprovoked firing by the Pakistan. During this visit the Congress leaders appealed the authorities to provide best Medicare facilities to the victims. They also interacted with the injured and wished them speedy recovery. They also asked the doctors and staff to remain vigilant, especially during night hours so that injured persons can be attended in time and referred to GMC&H Jammu, in case of high medical emergency due to heavy firing by the Pakistan. They also said that sufficient stock of drugs and first aid equipments should be kept readily available in the hospital including adequate number of ambulances on stand-by for shifting the injured patients to the hospital. Conveying their sympathies with those families who lost their members due to unprovoked firing on the international border, they demanded establishment of Separate Township for the people residing near the border at Hiranagar, RS Pura, Arnia and also at Poonch and Rajouri districts in view of the frequent firings from across the border. Sharing the pain and agony of the people of shelling-hit areas, they expressed serious concern over loss to the standing crops, residential houses and studies of the children and the circumstances that have forced people to leave their homes and demanded on-the-spot compensation to the injured and also to those civilians whose houses had been extensively damaged. They also appealed youth to come forward for voluntary blood donation for timely and adequately saving precious lives. |
