| PHC Loran sans facilities, becomes defunct | | | Early Times Report
Poonch Nov 1: About ten kilometers away from main bazaar of Mandi tehsil complex, the town Loran is calling attention from Minister for Health and the concerned health department as well- reason as the Primary Health Centre Loran sans all basic facilities.
According to the report from locals that there is no basic facility provided to the peoples by administration while the political leaders too have failed to take up issues of the areas to concerned spheres for due redressal.
Wali Mohammed Sheikh, a local said that Primary Health Cemtre (PHC) Loran is totally defunct as the centre lack basic facilities. Locals said the they have approached to concerned health authorities many times in this regard, but all in vain without any fruitful outcome.
Besides Wali Mohd, other locals also lamented that whenever patients visit PHC Loran, they were asked to purchase medicine from outside and even the basic first aid material too was supposed to brought from chemist shops. They also alleged that the staff also will remains absent.
"The area witnesses frequent accidents and injured are forced to be shifted to SDH Mandi or District Hospital for basic treatment. Locals have appealed to Deputy Commissioner Poonch to intervene the matter and take strong action against Chief Medical Officer Poonch and BMO Mandi.
All attempts to contact CMO Poonch to get his comment in this regard turned futile as he did not receive any call. |
