Elderly businessman allegedly commits suicide 11/1/2016 11:23:12 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 1: An elderly businessman allegedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence at Bari Brahmana area. The deceased has been identified as Nirmal Mehta (60) son of Ram Parkash of Bari Brahmna. Police sources said that yesterday he was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) after he fell unconscious allegedly due to consuming some poisonous substance at his residence. During treatment today in the morning he failed to respond the treatment and later after legal formalities the body was handed over to family members for last rites. Police sources further said that the deceased was mentally upset for last few months and he might have took such step in depression. A case in this connection has been registered at Bari Brahmana police station and investigation is on to ascertain exact reasons behind such an extreme step. Meanwhile, a 30 year-old unknown male who was found unconscious at Reshamghar colony on October 25 succumbed today at GMC&H.Police said that the body of the deceased has been kept in the mortuary of the hospital for identification and other legal formalities.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
