Mandi Nov 1: Five houses were gutted while eight families got affected after a short circuit triggered an inferno in village Chamar Mohalla Hill of Mandi tehsil intervening night of Saturday/ Sunday at about 11:30 pm. According to the sources, "Eight families were affected due to this fire incident triggered by a short circuit and affected families have been identified as Ghulam Ahmed s/o Subhan Rathi, Jamal Din s/o Subhan Rathi, Mohd Akbar s/o Subhan Rathi, Sultan Mohd S/o Subhan Rathi, Azizi bejum w/o Mohd Abdulha, Abdul Ahad s/o Qadar Rathi, Abdul Ahad s/o Qadar Rathi and Mohd Shafi s/o Qadar Rathi, all residents of a single village Chambar. "The fire affected familes have expressed their anguish over administration and said no authorities till now have visited the area to listen to their grievances, sources said. They said crore of rupees goats, cattle and other domestic precious items have been totally get into ashes. They appealed to state government for releasing relief/compensation to the aggrieved families. Meanwhile former MLA Poonch and Provisional Youth National Conference President Jammu, Ajaz Ahmed Jan rushed to the spot and assured the victims for due help. He also assured them to take the matter to district administration to get due help including temporary shelters. |
