Police busts weapon snatching module, arrests 3 accused | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Nov 26 Jammu and Kashmir Police today claimed to have busted a weapon snatching module and arrested three accused, who were planning to attack minority guard posts in south Kashmir district of Pulwama. "Based on specific intelligence inputs, police raided a particular place in Pulwama and arrested one Arshad Dar and two of his associates, Adil Reshiand Adil Ganai," Superintendent of Police (SP) of Pulwama Rayees Ahmad Bhat told . He said the trio had conducted recce and were planning to attack guard posts near minority colonies in the district and decamp with the weapons of police personnel deployed there. "The attempt was foiled before the group could execute the plan," he said, adding further investigation has been taken up to nab other accused involved in the crime. In the past, weapons were looted from minority guard posts in Kashmir valley in different incidents though no one from the minority community was harmed. |
