poonch, Nov 26: Rules for fools is an old saying and it sounds more pertinent when rules are broken by the law makers themselves.
Sources said NC MLA from Mendhar Javed Rana's squad vehicle (Gypsy) has a broken number plate that too on the front side only, violating the provisions of Motor Vehicle Act.
The vehicle is provided by the security wing of J&K Police Department but without any security mark viz-a-viz CPJ/CPK etc by which the vehicle could be identified. But there seems no concern of authorities to maintain VIP's vehicles nor the VIPs were bothered about the same.
Such vehicles ply rashly on the roads as if they belong to "Dabbangs' but one is surprised to know that these were elected legislators who move in such vehicles, sources added.
It is pertinent to mention here that Early Times reporter of Poonch district had a narrow escape as the same MLA's vehicle driven by his driver ran rashly near Bus stand Mendhar where three people including this reporter had a narrow escape.
Chairman Mendhar Youth Club advocate Nadeem Rafiq Hussain Khan urged the ADGP security and SSP security Jammu to take the cognizance of the matter as legislators vehicles were violating traffic norms in many ways and an appropriate measures were needed to be taken to check the menance. |
