PoK belongs to Pakistan: Dr Farooq | 'Kya PoK Tamare Baap Ka Hai' | | 'India's resolution on POK doesn't matter'
Asif Iqbal Naik Early Times Report Kishtwar, Nov 26: A day after daring India to take Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) back from Pakistan, the National Conference patron Dr Farooq Abdullah on Saturday reiterated that POK is a part of Pakistan. In an interview to a national TV channel, Farooq Abdullah, defended his statement on POK saying, "Why I am toeing Pakistan line-- Can you take that part of Kashmir? When they can't take this part, we also can't take that part". In another question that you (Dr Farooq) taunted India on PoK saying "Kya yeh unke baap ka hai??", Dr. Farooq said: "For 70 years you have not taken it---- when you gonna take it--- take it now--- why you blame Farooq Abdullah for that." On being told that Parliament has passed a resolution passed in parliament that POK is part oF India, Dr. Farooq said: "How does it matter--- how many resolutions are there in United Nations to hold plebiscite in Kashmir-- has India Accepted?? how come this resolution of India on POK matters". To a question that you seem to be acting as advocate for Pakistan, Dr. Farooq Abdullah said that he was not a Pakistani. "If those people who think I am Pakistani, they should go to hell---- they are the agents of Pakistan not me," he said. It's in place to mention here that Dr Farooq Abdullah while addressing a rally at Kishtwar on Thursday had said that Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) is not India's "personal property" and had dared the Government of India (GoI) to take it back from Pakistan. Dr Farooq, while referring to the India passing a resolution claiming that PoK is a part of India, said, "Pakistan is one of the stakeholder which GOI has itself accepted--- there was a resolution on this which says that POK is the part of India. Kya Yeh Tumare Baap Ka Hai ( Is this your forefathers property)." "GOI has no guts to retrieve back the PoK from Pakistan neither Pakistan has guts to snatch Kashmir from India. In between innocent people of Kashmir are suffering and border residents have become the canon- fodder due to escalating tension on borders," he had said. |
