JAMMU, Nov 26: The 3 days District Wushu championship concluded today with some thrilling fights, as the Wushu sports is very popular now a days in J&K. Approximately 400 participants from different schools and clubs participated in the championship.
The championship was organized by the District Jammu Wushu Association at Indoor complex MA Stadium jammu w.e.f 24th to 26th November 2016.
On the valedictory function Vijay Saraf (President), Ranjeet Kalra(Member BCCI) and Deepak Handa (Vice president) distributed the prizes among the winners.
They also presented mementoes to the technical officials for conducting the function smoothly.
They appreciated the organizers for making the Wushu sports prominent in Jammu district. They also congratulated parents of the athletes for their participation and encouraging them to learn the tactics of this medal prospectus combat sport.
They felicitated Bhanu partap singh and Rajinder singh for winning Silver medal in the World cup and Asian Championship respectively.
They told them to be the role model for the new comers so that they too will earn the name for the state and country at the International level. They also congratulated Kuldeep Handoo (Chief Coach of India) for his achievement at the international level and recently for getting the Coach of the year by the "FICCI" The vote of thanks was presented by Kuldeep Handoo, who thanked Secretary J&K sports council Wahid Parray, Divisional sports officer Rajan Sharma and indoor manager Satish for their kind support and making this event a grand success. He also congratulated Vijay Saraf (President) and Ranjeet Kalra (Member BCCI) and Deepak Handa(Vice President) and Business man for giving their valuable time and encouragement to the Wushu lovers. The Schools and Clubs participated in the District Jammu championship were, DPS School Jammu,Jodhamal Public School, K C Public school, Jain School ,Banyan International school, Tiny Tots Roop nagar,Sanatam Dharam Kanya vidyalaya school, MHAC Nagbani School, Shaurya Army school, Accademy of Wushu (AOW), and Taps out academy,
The other guests present during the function were, Sohit Sharma (Treasurer), Indoor Manager Satish, Divisional Sports officer Rajan Sharma, Arun Singh , Lalit Singh and Ashi Jamwal. |
