Two bovine smuggler held, 7 animals rescued | | | Early Times Report Udhampur, Dec 2: In its drive against bovine smugglers, police today foiled a bovine smuggling bid with the arrest of two bovine smugglers while rescuing seven animals during a naka checking under the jurisdiction of Police post Roun Domail. "On specific information received at Police Post Roun Domail about the movement of bovine smugglers trying to smuggle animals to Kashmir valley from Ramnagar via Roun Domail without any permission, the police team from Police Post Roun laid a naka at Roun Domail." "During the naka checking on police team intercepted a vehicle bearing Regd No JK 14A 7775 on its way to valley, police spokesperson said, adding, "police found seven animals loaded in the vehicle and two occupants identified as Shakeel Ahmed son of Manzoor Ali of Jakheni and Imran Bhatt son of Sher Mohd Bhatt of Sambal Danga Udhampur were arrested on the spot. He said a case in this connection under FIR No.394/2016 u/s 188 RPC 3PCA Act stands registered against accused at P/S Udhampur and further investigation is on. The catch was made by the police team headed by SI Khyati Maan Khajuria under the supervision of Inspector OP Chib SHO Police Station Udhampur and S S Billoria Dysp Hqrs Udhampur and overall command of SSP Udhampur Shailendra Kumar Mishra. |
