Militant Zakir threatens to target cops' families | | | Early Times Report tral, Dec 2: Two days ago, in a typical Bollywood style, militant outfit Hizbul Mujahideen's commander Zakir alias Moosa threatened in a video that they will target families of J&K police personnel. Meanwhile, the police on Friday said they have identified the house where the video was shot. According to Superintendent of Police, Awantipora, Muhammad Zahid, they have raided the house belonging to Mudasir Ahmed Gunoo, son-in-law of late Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Mir, where police and army found jackets and trousers used by militants. "After getting the inputs, we along with the 42 RR conducted an operation in Batipora, Dadsara, Tral of the said house and found clothes and other items with which he (Zakir) made videos against the security forces," Zahid said. "During preliminary investigation it was also established that Zakir used to record videos in one of the rooms of the said house. Some clothes and other material used by Zakir in different videos and photographs were also recovered. Manhunt has been launched for the absconding owner," he added. However, a day before in a 02:11 minute video, Zakir claimed they have list of police informers. The video ends in a typical Bollywood style with background voice believed to be of Zakir saying, "Humnay nay shikaar karna kya choda, kuttey nay samaj liya jungle humara hai." In this video, a laptop is shown with Zakir's picture. "Recently, we have showed you a demo of 15 kg RDX; we are telling you either you surrender or face dire consequences. We are also giving final warning to informers." Zakir has also asked the police to stop harassment of militants' families or "be ready for dire consequences." "You have done a big mistake by harassing our families. This war is between JKP and militants, but you have involved the family in it. It is first and last warning, don't harass our families, otherwise we will kill yours. Even if your families will be in Kanyakumari we have access to kill them there," Zakir says. "Every one has a family; if you think your families are safe in Jammu that is your mistake. Next time do think thousand times before harassing our families. If you will continue harassing our families then every street of Valley will see the bodies of JKP from Chaprasi to Inspector General of Police," he adds. |
