Gulhati delivers lecture at JU 12/2/2016 10:43:32 PM Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 2: Noted author and columnist Shailendra Gulhati today delivered a lecture at the Human Resource Development Centre of University of Jammu. Gulhati was speaking at the ongoing UGC - General Orientation Course being organized by the HRDC, JU . The national level UGC course is being attended by University and College teachers drawn from various institutions of higher learning from both within and outside the State. Gulhati who Spoke on the topic, " Spiritualism in the Contemporary World Order with special reference to J&K - The importance of E- literature Social Media " during the course of his lecture dwelt in detail about the different spiritual philosophies and their practical relevance in our daily lives. He also read out brief excerpts from two of his widely acclaimed books 'Shiva -The Time Traveler ' and 'The Yogi and The Snake'. The celebrated Columnist also dedicated one section of his talk to the teachings and writings of Swami Vivekananda. Shailendra Gulhati who has twice had the honour of being an important of the Indian Team that was nominated to represent the Country at the SAARC writers summit also shared his views on Sufism ,the rich cultural traditions of J&K, techniques of meditation and usefulness of the virtual web world and social media in the contemporary times. He also gave an overview of his latest his web initiative, www.thespeakingsoul.com. Gulhati While drawing parallels between vibrant ,ancient, eastern and western schools of thought also shared his experience of delivering an Invited talk at the recent Literary Festival Of Thailand and the commonalities between various world philosophies & communities that binds them together. The guest speaker was earlier formally introduced and welcomed by Prof Naresh Padha , Director Human Resource Development Centre , JU and Prof Anil Raina, HOD Environmental Sciences Department and Course Incharge.
