KPC seeks cabinet berth of KPs | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 25: Kashmiri Pandit Conference ( KPC ) has strongly demanded representation in the State Cabinet for the community saying that there has been no KP Cabinet rank minister in the state for quite some time now, Addressing his party workers at New Delhi, President KPC, Kundan Kashmiri strongly demanded cabinet berth for the minority community of Kashmiri Pandits, which he said, is ignored and isolated. He said KPs have voted and supported the BJP and are living a very hard life as internally displaced people from the last thirty years, having no representative in the ministry to redress their grievances and problems. Kundan appealed to the BJP President Amit Shah as well as other BJP leaders to accept this demand. He also demanded a CBI probe into the Rassana rape and murder case to give justice to the victim and also demanded a similar probe into the killing and torturing of KP women during turmoil in 1989 and 1990 in Kashmir valley. Kundan Kashmiri, President KPC also strongly accused the State Government of not being sincere in deportation of the illegally settled Rohingyas and other foreigners from Jammu and claimed that they are the biggest threat to the communal harmony and composite culture as well as posing a demographic threat to Jammu region . |
