Jammu, Apr 25: In a rare achievement, a Jammu girl, Deepika Chauhan, has become the first female from J&K to pass Referee 'A' exam from Karate Association of India (KAI).
Deepika is a Central Bank employee and first female medal winner in senior National Karate Championship in 2008 held at Chennai.
Safa Masoodi from Srinagar becomes the first female to quantify as Karate coach from KAI here while Charan Singh from Rajouri and Sourav Mehra from Jammu have also qualified the coach exam from KAI. President of AKAJK and Minister of State for Transport, Sunil Sharma along with all office bearers of the Association have appreciated the performance of all the aspirants and wish them a successful career in the field of Karate. |
