ANANTNAG: A civilian suffered critical injuries after suspected militants this afternoon opned fire on forces in South Kashmir's Anantnag district.
Police said thar militants targeted a group of Police and CRPF troopers on Anantnag Pahalgam road at Lazibal.
The forces at established a nakka in the area, they said.
Injuried civilian has been identified as Shafat Ahmad s/o Shabir Ahmad, a resident of Shopian.
He was immediately shifted to Anantnag District Hospital for treatment.
Soon after the attack, additional forces rushed towards the spot and cordoned off the area. |
