| One year imprisonment to Ration Dealer for black marketeering | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 22: CJM Jammu Ashwani Sharma today awarded one year imprisonment to Ravinder Kumar a ration dealer for selling BPL ration to mill owners.
According to the prosecution case , on 13.01.2005 SHO P/S Akhnoor alongwith other police personnel while on checking and patrolling duly apprehended wheat for BPL families being loaded in Truck No.JKP-3891 &3312 JKP from Rajouri /Nowshera towards Jammu, for its illegal sale.
CJM Jammu Ashwani Sharma after hearing Senior PO Rohit Gupta with PO Arvind Manhas for the state observed that accused person by loading the wheat for distribution amongst the BPL families had been bringing the same by loading in the trucks from Nowshera towards Jammu by committing criminal breach of trust and obtaining wrongful gain , as such have committed U/S 406 RPC and 3/7 E.C Actand sentenced accused Ravinder to undergo simple imprisonment for a period of one year with the fine in the sum of Rs. 5,000/-. |
