Poonch, May 22: Aganwari worker and helpers have alleged official discrimination as they were being asked to pay Rs 500 annually for conducting audit besides Rs 20 to Rs 50 for APR by the concerned CDPO for the last quite some time, sources said here today. Staging strong protest against the authorities, the workers and helpers led by their district president Nassem Jan rued that they have been paying Rs 500 annually for conducting audit besides Rs 20 from helpers and Rs 50 from workers were being deducted from their salary monthly for APR for the last several years, Nassem said, we are poor employees and our wages are already very less. "We fail to understand as how are we concerned to pay for any audit or something else in all the sub divisions of district including Poonch, Mandi, Mendhar and Surankote," Naseema lambasted. Taking up the matter with District Development Commissioner Aijaz Asad told Early Times that he has learnt about the development just now and I ask the Anganwari workers and helpers to give me in writing officials involved in such an impractical practice he added. |
