| Poonch agricultural canals dry up | | | Rajesh Tandon

Poonch, July 8: Thanks to Flood Control Department in Poonch District, the agricultural canals remain dry for most of the time.
Actually all this started when in 2014 flood hits the State but till date the department has failed to restore such kinds of work.
Dr. A. R Nadwi Chairman Ali Miyan Nadwi Charitable trust said it's really a matter of concern if such responsible department works like this. They said it put a question mark on efficiency of offical in department as well as the engineers.
The local people from Salotri to Chadak & Ajot, Digwar, Gulpur, khadi & near by villages approached the media in this regard. The people told media that all the canal which pass through near by villages for agricultural purposes remain dry most of the times which adversely affects the production.
The people of above said villages appeal to New DDC Poonch Rahul Yadav to take notice of such serious issues.
Dr. A R Nadwi Chairman Ali Miyan Nadwi Charitable trust appeal to the Flood control department as well as to the honourable Governor to fix the issues & issues advisory to the department for such critical issues which relates to people living & feeding. |
