UDHAMPUR, July 8: Even as the district administration is trying to aware the common masses about the Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) and insist them to use toilets but the same authorities have miserably failed to keep the public toilets clean and hygienic.
The only public toilet in Kulwanta on Ramnagar -Basantgarh road is live example of the indifferent attitude of the authorities towards maintaining cleanliness in public urinals.
The public toilet in Kulwanta is in complete shambles. It is not in use due to its pathetic condition but the authorities have failed to restore it, which mocks the very concept of the SBM.
With the facility of public toilet not available, the people are forced to defecate in open especially women who travel on the Ramnagar-Basantgarh road as Kulwanta is the midpoint for them. |
