Guards fire warning shots after stones pelted at ex-Congress minister's house | | | Early Times Report
Anantnag, July 8: Policemen guarding the residence of Congress leader Peerzada Muhammad Sayeed fired few warning shots after demonstrators pelted it with stones in Kokernag area of south Kashmir's Anantnag district on Sunday. Reports said that scores of youth assembled in Damhal Khashipora village and pelted stones at the residence of Sayeed. They said that cops guarding the residence fired few warning shots to chase away the protesters. In a similar incident, stones were pelted at the house of former National Conference leader Abdul Rasheed in Bulbul Bagh Nowgam village of the district. A complete shutdown is being observed across Kashmir valley to mark the second death anniversary of slain Hizb-ul-Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani. |
