R&B division Handwara failed to provide info under RTI within time

Kupwara, Mar 21: Against the norms under RTI Act to reply within one month period since submission of application, but Roads and Building (R&B) division Handwara has failed to provide information as per stipulated time.
One a Manzoor Ahmad had filed an application on 20/1/2020 to R&B Division Handwara to seek information about expenditure of funds for the construction of culvert Ahanger Mohalla to Shatgund road, allotment of funds, site of all execution of works, material adjusted, etc during the time period of Er Farooq Ahmad (Assistant Executive Engineer) Division Handwara , details of tenders and quotations thereof and details of vouchers.
“But the concerned R&B division Handwara has failed to provide information within time period”, said RTI applicant, adding, “The delay itself indicates that there is something wrong in the R&B Division Handwara about funds.”
The RTI applicant has appealed LG GC Murmu to intervene in the matter and demanded strict action against R&B Division Handwara for not providing information under RTI act 2005.
