New Delhi, Oct 10: Roots in Kashmir (RIK) a Kashmiri Pandit organization today burnt the effigies of the three Ravanas of Kashmir, Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Yasin Malik and Bitta Karate (Farooq Ahmad Dar) during a protest held in national capital to register their resentment against anti national tirade launched by the separatist leaders.
According to press statement issued from New Delhi, Abhishek Thathoo, a member of Roots in Kashmir said "Syed Ali Geelani, Yasin Malik and Bitta Karate are the manifestation of evil and their demonic activities who have led to death of hundreds of innocent people.
"With this symbolic burning of three demons, we hope that the evil within them also burns," he said while addressing a gathering of Kashmiri Pandits.
The statement further said that Kashmiri Pandits hailed the Indian security forces for their contribution to restore the peace in valley and also paid glowing tributes to the martyrs, who have sacrificed their lives for India.
Vijay Raina, President Kashmiri Samiti Delhi urged the government to remain vigilant as the recent attack on Kashmiri Pandits and minority pickets in the valley is an attempt to push another exodus of remaining Kashmiri Pandits living the valley. "Attack on KPs is a direct attack on symbols of India, he said. Aroop Rayu, spokesperson, RIK said "Kashmir is the land of Shakti, and we pray to Goddess Durga that she soon annihilates the evil from the valley and brings back peace and prosperity with dignified return of Kashmiri Pandits back to their homes." The release added.
