Jammu, Oct 10: The Government Medical College and Hospital administration is once again in limelight, as usual for another controversy and this time a total of 24 names in the selection list of 70 Safaikaramcharis, went missing mysteriously, signalling an alleged recruitment scandal. But officials claimed that it was a typographical error.
As per the order No. AHJ/2016/96 dated:- 11-04-2016, the decision of the Selection Committee was communicated to the Administrative Department and further instructions in the matter were solicited; Consequent upon the approval conveyed by the Administrative Department vide Letter No: ME/Legal/NG/79/2015-M dated: 08-09- 2016 and the decision taken by the Selection Committee in its meeting held on dated:- 04-04-2016, the below mentioned 70 candidates are hereby provisionally appointed to the post of Safaikaramchari in the pay scale (4440-7440 + Grade pay 1300) in pursuance to the Advertisement Notice No:- AHJ/3307-12 dated :- 28-01-2013.
Above said order clearly stated that the GMC&H had selected 70 candidates for the posts of Safaikaramchairs but the list published in a daily had only 46 names.
However, Personal Officer of Associated Hospitals, Ansuya Jamwal said that it might be a typing mistake.
Contesting the claims of GMC&H' official, concerned people within GMC&H Jammu told Early Times that it was not a minor mistake because senior officials check the list before going to publish in dailies then how is it possible that the senior officials ignored the vast mistake. "If is it typing mistake then why administration has failed to fix the mistake so far," concerned citizens questioned.
Sources alleged that few days ago a selection list published in a daily for the post of Safaikaramchari in which 70 candidates were selected but names of 24 candidates were missed. It was deliberately attempt to appease the political leaders and higher ups of the department by dropping the names of 24 candidates. It has been perceived as a conspiracy to adjust favourites.
"In-charge Principal of GMC&H is leaving no stone unturned to appease the political leaders to only save his 'chair' by throwing all rules and regulation of the department out of the window openly, "Sources further alleged.
Officials Sources alleged that a number of Nursing Orderly (NO) had been appointed but some of them, who were doing personal work at higher ups as well as politicians' homes and drawing salary from State Government exchequer but who cares? |
