All is not well with the BJP | RSS unhappy | | Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 10: All is not well with the J&K BJP. If earlier, two MLCs - Ashok Khajuria and Ramesh Arora - without mincing words tore into their own party in the party meeting and outside opposing the alliance and criticizing the party ministers, on Sunday, all the BJP ministers and all the MLAs, baring one, "boycotted" the high profile function, organized by the RSS' Jammu & Kashmir Study Centre in collaboration with the History Department of the Jammu University. The event was organized to release book on Maharaja Hari Singh, which was authored by the Vice-Chancellor of Central University of HP, Agnohotri, also a prominent RSS man. The book was released by none other than the MOS in the PMO Jitendra Singh. The organizers of the event had extended an invite to all the BJP ministers and other lawmakers to make the event a big success but their decision to stay away from the event caused embarrassment them. It could not be the case that all the BJP ministers and MLAs were out of Jammu; there could be some. But as far as the BJP ministers were concerned, they could very well had attended the function but it didn't happen. The conspicuous absence of the BJP ministers and other lawmakers has not gone down well with the RSS top brass. According to sources close Veer Bhawan, "the top RSS leaders have not taken kindly to the non-participation of the BJP lawmakers in the function". He further said that "by not attending the function, the BJP has sent a wrong signal to the general public and this doesn't augur well for the party and the parivar". There is no doubt that their absence from the function has once again brought to the fore the fact that the BJP and the Sangh parivar is gripped by infighting. |
