Early Times Report Srinagar, Oct 10 : Heavy vehicle traffic was resumed on the Srinagar-Jammu national highway today after remaining suspended yesterday in view of the visit of Chief Justice of India (CJI) Justice T S Thakur to Ramban. However, due to operation against militants hiding in a government building at Pampore, traffic has been diverted through Somarbugh. A traffic police spokesman told that heavy vehicles, including trucks carrying fruit from here and essentials from Jammu, have been allowed this morning. Besides other vehicles are also plying normally, he said. In view of the visit of Justice Thakur, no heavy vehicle, including trucks and buses, from Srinagar and Jammu were allowed on the highway, linking the Kashmir valley with the rest of the country. |
