Saahil Suhail Early Times Report Srinagar, June 26: For the first time in the history of recruitment, to accommodate blue-eyed candidates having allegiance with Ministers and officers, recruiting committee of the upper house assigned 40 points to viva, documents related to 'Recruitment scam in Legislative Council' reveal. Scam, through which around 25 appointments were made illegally, was exposed by Early Times in its Saturday edition. Nabeel of Wani s/o Rafiq Ahmad Wani r/o Shan Market Udamphur besides securing 79.46% through his educational qualification was dropped and Karan Targorta s/o Tara Chand resident of Kali, Janni Jammu was appointed despite securing just 60%. Karan Targorta, a M.Sc student applied for the post of translator despite not having required qualification as only those were eligible who had read Urdu as a subject in Graduation or Post Graduation.
