JAMMU, July 22: The failure of the ungrateful BJP to deliver is written promise on All-India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) on the committed date has evoked a very sharp reaction from Jammu region. The AIIMS Coordination Committee (ACC), which had been spearheading the movement for establishing AIIMS in Jammu since May 19, on Tuesday not only restarted chain hunger strike but also threatened long-drawn mass movement across Jammu region.
The chairman of AIIMS CC and president JKHBAJ, Abhinav Sharma described the behaviour of BJP leadership of the state as well as of the Center as the betrayal of the people of Jammu. JAMMU, July 22: Future of seven offsite campuses of the Jammu University is in jeopardy, as the University Grants Commission has blocked funds due to poor planning of the administration.
Sources told Early Times that five out of the seven offsite campuses were running from temporary accommodations though the UGC had released funds to tune of Rs 117 crore in 2012 to create infrastructure.
But after mismanagement of the varsity administration, the funds have been blocked, said sources.
