JAMMU, Jan 19: Divisional Commissioner Jammu Shantmanu held a detailed review meeting with all the Deputy Commissioners of Jammu province with regard to the progress of land acquisition cases of important projects like NH A1, PMGSY, Railways, Degree Colleges, Border fencing, Solid Waste Management projects, Gas Pipeline etc. He further stressed for early preparation of revenue papers for IIT and identification of temporary space/buildings for its functioning from the academic year 2015-16. Functioning of new Administrative units was also reviewed. The Divisional Commissioner Jammu also appreciated the work of all Deputy Commissioners in dealing with the flash flood in September 2014, Assembly Election 2014 and the situation that arouse due to Border shelling/firing. It was stressed that the work of relief and rehabilitation must be finished on priority and sufficient stock of essential commodities be maintained and their prices be checked regularly. |
