KATHUA, Jan 19: In order to review the arrangements for 66th Republic Day Celebrations, ADDC Kathua, Narinder Singh Bali convened a meeting of district officers of various departments at conference hall of the DC office complex, here at Kathua today. The main function will be held at sports stadium Kathua where the flag hoisting ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. The contingents drawn from CRPF, district police, police Training School Kathua and students from Government and Private Educational Institutions will participate in the march past, besides Cultural items would also be presented on the occasion. The National Day celebrations will start with Shehnai Vadan by the Information Department Kathua at Deputy Commissioner Office and SSP Office in the wee hours. During the meeting, the arrangements for security, uninterrupted power supply, drinking water, sanitation, barricading, medical aid, and media coverage were also reviewed. The arrangements for the upcoming National Voters Day scheduled to be observed on January 25th , 2015 were also reviewed in the meeting. The main function in this regard will be organized at Government Degree College Kathua. The directions were also passed to organize the National event at the Tehsil and Block level. The counters will be setup for the registration of new voters. On the day Photo Identity cards (EPICS) will be distributed among the new voters. Theme based cultural programme will also be organized. ACR Kathua, Additional SP, Principal Government Degree College, Kathua CPO, CEO, CMO and other district officers attended the meeting. |
