Jammu, Jan 19: The MBS Hockey Club Simbal Camp lifted the title trophy of the 2nd Shaheed Bhagat Singh Sub Junior (boys) Hockey Tournament, organised by Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh Foundation, at K K Hakhu Stadium, here today. In the final, MBS Club defeated Guru Nanak Nagar Club 4-0. Rupinder Singh (third minute), Sanamdeep Singh (25th), Gaganjot Singh (52nd) and Ramandeep Singh (59th) were the scorers. The final was officiated by the technical penal including Jagjit Singh, Dalbir Mehta, Joginder Singh, Charanjit Singh, Jaspreet Singh, Ravinder Singh, Karanjit Singh and GS Bakshi. In the final and valedictory function, Director General Indian System of Medicine (IMS), J&K and Mission Director National AYUSH Mission, Dr Abdul Kabir Dar was chief guest, who presented the winners and runners-up trophies as also other individual prizes. He interacted with the young boys and encouraged them in their endevour to excel at the national and international. The chief guest appreciated the Bhagat Singh Foundation for providing young players a platform to excel. Chairman Sri Sai Charitable Trust, Dr Roop Lal Sharma also appreciated young boys for their aggression on the field. Padamshree, S P Verma was guest of honour. Prominent among others present were Rajinder Singh, Dr OP Gupta, Gurmeet Singh, SP Singh, Manjit Singh, Bal Krishan, Tejinder Singh, Tirlok Singh, Davinder Bakshi, Deedar Singh, Gurdyal Singh, Sant Waryam Singh, Abdul Majid Malik, Balwinder Singh and Amardeep Singh. |
