| Dr VM Arya gets best paper presentation award in National seminar | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 19: Division of Soil Science, SKUAST-Jammu, Assistant Professor, Dr. V M Arya got best paper presentation award in seventh National Seminar on Sustainable Rural Livelihoods Technological and Institutional Perspective. According to press release, the paper entitled "Portfolios of Climate Resilient Agriculture Practices vis-à-vis Conservation Agriculture" discussed about the domains of climate smart agriculture. The research paper highlighted the importance of conservation agriculture practices especially in context of changing climate.
The paper also discussed socioeconomic aspect of climate change and its impact on agriculture. The paper gave solution to the issues pertaining to the extreme weather events and changing pattern of agriculture. The authors gave impetus on the conservation agriculture practices which have the capacity to reduce the impact of climate change on agriculture.
The paper examines the ecological and economic costs and benefits, as well as the climatic adaptation of a Conservation Agriculture system. |
