SRINAGAR, Jan 19: Semifinals position has been cleared with four quarterfinals stages matches decided today in the ongoing Winter (knockout) Football Tournament, organised by DFA Srinagar, here.
Teams qualified for the semifinals are Novelty Academy, Burnhall Academy, Eddgarh and Bemina Academy. Now, in the semifinals, Novelty shall take on Eidgah while Bemina has been pitted against Burnhall Academy.
Earlier, in the quarterfinals, Eddgah Academy defeated Barzulla Academy by a solitary goal. The only goal of the match came through Faizan in the 20th minute. In other match, Novelty outplayed Youth Development Football Academy by three goals to nil. While Shahid Nazir added two goals, Zubair netted one. Third quarterfinal of the day won by Bemina Academy after they beat AMC Zadibal Academy 3-1.
Faizan netted all three goals. Burnhall Academy also reached the semifinals beating Islamia College Academy 3-0. |
