Citizens' Forum emails to Governor about rude behavior with elderly by LPG dealers | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 19: Citizens' Forum Jammu has alleged that LPG distributors in Jammu were harassing the consumers particularly the aged who are not in position to reach their respective dealership / agencies for submitting their documents regarding PAHAL / DBTL (Direct Benefit Transfer to LPG consumers). In a letter addressed to governor of the State, NN Vohra, Citizens' Forum president R K Chadha complained the elederly consumers on reaching the dealerships/agencies have to face the misbehavior and rudeness of the agents / dealers concerned. Citing a case of an octogenarian who being confined to home because of his ill health, the Citizens' Forum has complained against a particular dealership M/S Ravi Nath & Brothers situated at Gandhinagar in Jammu of misbehaving with this consumer and forcing him to walk to the dealership office despite of his ill-health thus further adding to the health problems of the consumer. The complained e-mailed to the governor states that, "Citizens Forum draw your kind attention towards the working and behavior of LPG agencies in Jammu. Courtesy word is absolutely not in their dictionary.' "They operate only with one land line telephone connection which is always busy. Sir, I personally went to M/s Ravi Nath & Brothers gas dealer for Gandhi Nagar, Jammu with an 84 year old very sick senior most respectable citizen. He was asked by the dealer to present himself and sign the register in dealer's presence. After great persuasion with the dealer It took another half an hour to get the old man's signature on the register," President Citizen Forum stated. "A prominent board depicting Sales Officer Anees J Qadri Contact No 9419027114, when tried to be contacted did not answer the call, the letter added. |
