Jammu, Jan 20 : Delta Signalers under Delta Force organised a cleanliness drive with the participation of locals as part of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
The drive started from the Baron Batote village as part of various programs being undertaken by the Delta Force in the run up to the Republic Day celebrations.
The Indian Army Soldiers worked shoulder to shoulder with the villagers for the cleaning up of the public areas such as roads, streets and schools. The locals were made aware about the nationwide cleanliness campaign. They were also told about the importance of the campaign and how it can help to improve the surrounding areas and the general health of the citizens. The locals of Baron Batote and Nazir Ahmed Mir, Sarpach Baron Batote, amongst other prominent personalities, were grateful to the Indian Army for carrying out such an event in their village.
