JTC, SKF express concern over Govt.'s slackness in enhancing cash assistance | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 27: Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) expressed their gave concern over the slackness of the government in enhancing the monthly cash assistance in favour of the Kashmiri Migrant relief holders, though recommendations have already been made in this regard. According to press release, a meeting was held here today under the President ship of Shadi Lal Pandita, President, JTC/SKF J&K. The meeting was attended by the office bearers and members of both the organizations. The participants have further said that the Govt. has failed in implementing the Prime Minister's employment package for Kashmiri Migrant Youth. Shadi Lal Pandita said that out of 6000 posts announced by the then Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh only 2000 posts have been filled and the remaining posts are yet to be advertised and filed. He said that since the educated youth are unemployed facing the miseries as such the employment package needs to be implemented in letter and spirit. The participants have appealed for sanctioning additional 3000 posts for class IV without any consideration of merit so that those candidates who could not continue their studies beyond matriculation due to financial hardships are absorbed in the Govt. jobs. The participants have said that the Kashmiri Pandit Migrants are very much interested in their rehabilitation in the Kashmir valley provided satellite townships near Srinagar city are raised for dignified and secure living of the community in the Kashmir valley. They demanded the Government for sanctioning and releasing lump sum compensation of Rs. 50.00 lacs in favour of each Kashmiri Migrant family for the losses suffered by them during past 25 years due to damages to their properties which include, Agriculture land, Orchards and other properties of traders. They appealed the Government both in centre as well as in State of Jammu and Kashmir for granting Political reservation to the community in the State Legislature. Among those who were present during meeting included Hari Krisha, SL Kar, Sunil Raina, Rajinder Dhar, Sanjay Pandita, Shuban Raina, Ramesh Bhat, Vijay Pandita, ML Akhoon, Gopi Nath Shah, ML Pandita and SN Gurtoo . |
