DB expresses dissatisfaction; directs Secretary Health to file status report | PIL on PPP contract in Super Specialty Hospital | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 27: In a Public Interest Litigation filed by one Jagdev Singh seeking quashing of the contract for Public Private Partnership in Govt Medical College and Super Specialty Hospital Jammu with one Krishna Diagnostic Private Limited, A Division Bench of State High Court Comprising Chief Justice N Paul Vasanthakumar and Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur after hearing petitioner in person and Sr. AAG Gagan Basotra for the state, expressed its dissatisfaction with the objections already filed by the Under Secretary to Government dated 13.02.2015. Division Bench further observed that counsel, relying on earlier order passed by this Court, submits that the private respondent is collecting charges for investigation(s) as per the already existing government rates. The petitioner appearing in person submits that rates chargeable are not displayed in the Scan Centre run by the private respondent and the instructions already issued in respect of other aspects are not issued by the government. Division Bench after considering the submission directed Secretary to Government, Health and Medical Education Department or filing status report within two weeks. |
