NCP welcomes railway budget | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 27: Former minister Nabd state president of NCP Thakur Randhir Singh welcomed the proposal of railway minister to connect Leh via Himachal Pradesh and Srinagar and keeping amount for latest survey on several new railway lines in Jammu and Kashmir including Chenab valley, Kupwara and both district of Rajouri and Poonch which has been the demand of the state NCP since long. In a statement issued here, he said the provision for further survey on Udhampur, Bhaderwah, Doda and Kishtwar railway line should also have covered Padder to Surru valley, Kargil and Leh to Nobra valley, the old route which was followed by General Zorawar Singh which will be a great boost to the tourism, international tracking and the people living in the high altitude will be benefitted. "If China could bring railway in Tibet why can't we, he who is responsible for extending Udhampur to Baramulla railway line by touching the Katra during the time of late Prime Minister Narsimha Rao said the minister has ignored setting up of Rail coach factory in Jammu and modernizing of the Jammu railway station which has been the demand of the state NCP. He demanded the naming of Katra-Baramulla railway line on the name of late Narsimha Rao who was pioneer of this national project. Dr Magray appealed to people of the state come under the banner of NCP which is led by Former Minister Thakur Randhir Singh in the state who is well known for his honesty, integrity and secular character. RS Billowaria General Secy and spokesman who is Incharge membership campaign for the year 2015-16 briefed the party leadership about the party membership and programme which has been completed and needful will be done accordingly. |
