Local court asks Transport Commissioner to appear in person

Jammu, Feb 27 : Following the complaint of defamation by a petitioner, Sub Judge Special Mobile Magistrate Jammu today ordered personal presence of Dilshad Khan, Transport Commissioner in this court on or before 10 March.
According to court sources, complainant namely Shabir Ahmed Shah has filed a Right to Information (RTI) application to get the information with respect to the sanction /LA/Permit issued by the office of the Transport Commissioner and no reply was received by the complainant. He however got a notice to served to the Transport Commissioner -the respondent which has irked the concerned authority who in return got his reply 'using defaming words against the petitioner and got pasted in the locality where the petitioner used to reside. Petitioner further submitted that some locals of the area brought the issue of 'defaming posters' into his knowledge following which he took the matter to the court of law under section 500 RPC for defaming him and causing him unnecessarily harassment.
