New Delhi, Feb 27 : Expressing resentment, anguish and annoyance for the complete surrender by the BJP and its government at the centre over its stand on Article 370, which was core ideology of RSS and its political wing BJP from decades together, the Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) termed BJP's complete u-turn over the issue as betrayal with the nationalist forces of the state Addressing a meeting of party activists at New Delhi today, the KPC president Kundan Kashmiri stated that statement of MoS Home on Article 370 in the Parliament is most unfortunate. Confronting the statement of MoS Home, Kashmiri said that Article 370 was temporary and hence the so-called special status of J&K was also temporary. It was never meant to be permanent as understood by the forces who want to take state out of political and constitutional ambit of India. He further said the Article 370 has nothing to do with relations of J&K state with the rest of the India as it is only instrument of accession made by then Maharaja Hari Singh with union of India, which ensured J&K as inseparable part of Indian nation. Kundan Kashmiri KPC chief further said that Kashmiri Pandits and other nationalist forces have given great sacrifices for the same cause, so, BJP was answerable to the people of country for its ideological retreat and shift from its core agenda and this stand of BJP and RSS has permanently blocked both integration of J&K state with Indian nation as well as meaningful return of KPs to valley, as KPs cannot live in that part of the country which have two constitutions, two flags and two heads. |
