SRINAGAR, Feb 27 : Following the resumption of academic activities after a winter break, Central University of Kashmir (CUK) Officiating Vice-Chancellor, Prof Mehraj-ud-Din on Thursday took stock of the situation during a meeting with the faculty members at Nowgam Academic Block.
Registrar, Prof M Afzal Zargar, Controller of Examinations, Dr Nazir A Gilkar, Deans of different Schools and Heads and Coordinators of various departments were present in the meeting.
Interacting with the faculty, Prof Mehraj-ud-Din discussed the developments, which happened in the varsity, on different fronts, during the last two months.
The VC informed the faculty that the Visitor of the Central Universities, and President of India, Pranab Mukherjee, has invited two members of the innovation club to participate in a meeting on March 10, 2015, under the aegis of Festival of Innovation.
The members Afaq Alam of the Department of IT and Rashim Wadhwa of the Department of Education have been nominated by the CUK to promote innovation within and outside their networking. The nominated members are required to display their innovations in poster or digital format during the event scheduled to be held from March 7-13, 2015.
Among other things the implementation of the Choice Based Credit System and Credit Transfer Policy from the next academic session were discussed threadbare and the nominated members of the various Committees constituted in this regard were requested to take immediate action. |
